If you're trying to register your phone number on the Do Not Call ("DNC") Registry, make sure you go to the official site at www.dnc.gov.sg. You can also go to the official PDPC page and follow the link to the DNC site from there.

Ahead of the UK's general elections, David Cameron has argued that the UK government should be allowed to access any and all forms of communication. It is premised on his assertion that until now, governments have always taken the position that there should be no means of communication that the government is unable to gain access to, which is why certain intrusive activities (think wiretapping) can be carried out with a warrant. He implies that his position is just a simple extension of the current practice.

The Singapore Personal Data Protection Commission ("PDPC") recently released Advisory Guidelines for the Healthcare Sector (the "Guidelines"), on the application of the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 ("PDPA") to the healthcare sector. What's notable about these Guidelines is that they were developed together with Singapore's Ministry of Health ("MOH").
