Cannis undertakes contentious and non-contentious corporate and real-estate work predominantly for Chinese companies pursuing commercial ventures in Singapore and the ASEAN region. He has advised on and drafted contracts, and assisted in legal due diligence and audits for companies ranging from start-ups to multinational corporations. Cannis is routinely engaged on a retainer basis by high net worth clients to deal with matters relating to their companies, personal property transactions, personal trust instruments, and dispute resolution. Cannis was also involved in the negotiation and drafting of documentation for several en-bloc redevelopment projects. Cannis has native written and spoken fluency in English and Mandarin, and has some experience in Legal Chinese through interaction with Chinese counterparties and while on exchange in Shanghai’s East China University of Law and Politics.
